Tiered dresses are very popular right now. Sometimes called picnic dresses, they feature rows of gathered panels sewn together to create fullness in the skirt.

WOVEN TIERED DRESS & SKIRT PATTERNS
If you're looking to use woven fabrics for your tiered dress project, take a look at the Take The Chance Shirt Dress, Meet You There & Field Of Dreams dresses. Each one uses the gathering technique to add gorgeous rows of tiers to your dress.
The Take the Chance Shirt Dress features a simple collar & button up front with an all-in-one placket, making it super easy to sew. You can even add kam snaps if you prefer. The overall fit of this one is easy.
The Meet You There Dress, also designed for woven fabrics, slip straight on over the head. It features a rounded neckline & fabulous balloon bishop sleeves.
The Field Of Dreams Dress bodice sits a little closer on the body with darts to add a little shaping. You can sew this one either with a straight or v-neck design in button up or plain, finished with narrow or wide straps and of course, gorgeous tiers in multiple lengths.
The Tiered Maxi Skirt is designed for woven fabrics. It features gathered tiers on a flat front & shirred back waistband.
STRETCH KNIT TIERED DRESS & SKIRT PATTERNS
The Every Day’s A Weekend Tiered Dress sewing pattern features an easy fit bodice. It includes: tiered skirt in short, knee & midi length, optional pockets, short, cap, 3/4 & long sleeves, bishop sleeves & a choice of necklines including a round, v & roll neck. Designed for stretch knit fabrics.
Its sister pattern, the Dream On Dress & Skirt sewing pattern inclues a fitted bodice, tiered skirt mini, knee, midi & maxi length, a range of necklines, sleeveless, bishop sleeves, cap, short, 3/4 & long sleeves. It also contain a skirt option. Designed for stretch knit fabrics.
The Tank Dress also features a skirt that's gathered onto the bodice as one of it's options. This bodice is quite fitted, in a tank design with wide binding around the neck & armholes. It also comes with 2 other skirt options - circle or A-line.
The Fitted Bodice Add-on features just a fitted bodice to add to the Every Day's A Weekend Dress.

Another amazing pattern from PE. The WBWL pants are sublime, the fit is fantastic (made my usual PE size and they fit beautifully) and those butt darts!!! LOVE! They make the pants look tailored. I have made them in pants (liverpool) and shorts (two different lengths from DBP and Liverpool) and will be making many more. Love this pattern!

Love this skirt, I tend to have an issue fitting skirts like this but the instructions included in this pattern are so thorough and helps you get the perfect fit. Also there are so many options to customize the style of this skirt for all of the occasions.

I expected this pattern to be more complicated than other PE patterns I’ve made, but I was pleasantly surprised. It all went together surprisingly easily, and I can’t wait to make more. Kate’s sewing tips made even the “fiddly bits” of this pattern really straightforward to sew. This is currently my favourite pattern of all time!

Fantastic Pants Pattern
The Urban Pants are very easy to make and very comfortable to wear. Most important when making pants the pattern is true to size. I will be making lots of these in a variety of plain and patterned fabric. Instructions were so easy to follow. Stretch fabric is required for these pants. Scuba or Ponte are good choices of fabric for the pants. Great tips & hacks as I go. Thanks PE Patterns!

Ocean Daze Very Oversized Shirt Sewing Pattern
Great Pattern!
This is my first PE pattern I have made. I was drawn to this pattern because it is similar to a store bought shirt that I have and love. This pattern allowed me to recreate something similar. The instructions are fantastic and are very clear with helpful photographs. I really love the wide neck band and the binding process. I made my top 2 sizes smaller than my measured size to account for very drapey bamboo fabric I used and the result is perfect! I love this top and have plans to make more.

Lovely shape and lots of options
I just finished making a Be you tee with long sleeves, cuff and cowl. And I love it.
It is slightly more shaped at the waist than the besties and it looks really good on me. It fits beautifully at the bust, didn't even need an FBA. And I like the look of the cuff on the sleeves. Also the cowl is very comfortable. I am glad I tried another PE pattern.
